The Interior Chemical Dependency Office Inc. firmly adheres to the biopsychosocial model of addiction treatment and believes that addiction medicine is about more than writing a prescription, it is about providing high quality mental health care. We approach our patients using individual-focused treatment and group medical visits, coordinated by our addiction counsellor, which aims to improve functioning as well as quality of life. ICDO provides medical management and treatment of addiction issues, one-to-one counselling opportunities with our addiction counsellor to provide education surrounding addiction and mental health issues, as well encouragement and support through the process. We believe that addiction and mental health issues should be treated concurrently and strive to provide, within our scope of practice, treatments that improve over-all quality of life, while minimizing the burden of high-risk medication such as prescription opioids and benzodiazepines. We believe in accessible treatment and utilize technology such as telehealth whenever feasible, minimizing boundaries and increasing access to treatment.

Our team of professionals are innovators in the field of Addiction Medicine, empowering our patients to achieve fulfillment in their lives by eliminating chemical dependency, reducing pain and suffering, improving mental health and restoring resiliency. We endeavor to bring addiction medicine treatment into mainstream medicine to eradicate stigma surrounding addiction through education and advocacy so that patients can receive high quality care without judgment. We currently have three physicians at ICDO, Dr. Mandy Manak, Dr. Hancke de Kock, and Dr. Orlando Passerin.
