PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

At Ladybug Landing Child Care Centre we believe all children can benefit from an early childhood education that is designed to meet their individual needs and to facilitate their personal development in all areas - physical, social, emotional, cognitive and intellectual.

We believe that children learn through play. This is the best way they can enhance their knowledge and understanding of the world. Ladybug Staff provide a safe environment that includes appropriate role modeling and positive reinforcement. We recognize that each child is unique
not one is the same. Therefore, each child must be treated and taught using various methods that are most effective for them. We recognize that children develop differently and at different stages from one another, because of this, our programs are flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children here.

Exploration and independence are major goals for all children. Children are encouraged to develop the attitude "I can do it myself" and are offered assistance when necessary.

Our centre provides opportunities for both structured and non-structured activities which are appropriate to the needs and ages of the children. Your child will explore music and movement, dramatic play, stories, field trips, arts and crafts, sign language, self care, pet care, friendship and many more adventures with us. We will strive to provide your child with a "home away from home" experience, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

At Ladybug Landing Child Care Centre we believe that parental involvement is imperative. You are welcome and encouraged to visit us at any time that your schedule allows. The relationship between caregivers and parents is a very special one and we foster it here.
